こんにちは、皆さん！
Hey guys, what's up! I'm Eric, a third-year computer science student at the University of Calgary (just like 90% of our group), and I am an avid computer programmer who mostly practices web development and UX (user experience) projects. Some of my hobbies include video (YouTube) production and editing, writing/drawing, and making a fool of myself. I've also taken to learning languages; aside from Japanese, I'm also proficient but not-quite-conversational in Spanish.
I also love cats. They love me, too... or at least, they pretend to.

While I watched anime (you know, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon... in English...) and learned of Japan as a kid, the culture never really became apparent to me at such a young age; over the last few years, though, I've really discovered the true nature of Japan and what it has to offer. Now I definitely spend far too much time thinking about Japan and its various culture aspects!
I'm pretty sure Blogger would run out of storage space before I could list everything I'm excited about with regard to Japan. While I'm most excited for the things I'll be studying, I definitely want to meet the people, eat the food, speak the language, and immerse myself in the different traditions and cultural styles. This would of course involve, uh... well... everything in Tokyo.
